Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to the GrowBold mobile app ("the app"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
What GrowBold is — and is not
GrowBold is a self-guided tool for practising social confidence through small, optional real-world challenges. It is not therapy, medical care, professional advice, or crisis support, and it is not a substitute for any of these. If you are struggling with your mental health, please seek help from a qualified professional. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line immediately.
Using the app responsibly
Challenges in the app are suggestions, and you choose whether and how to attempt them. You agree to use your own judgement, stick to safe and lawful situations, and respect other people's boundaries and privacy. You are responsible for your own actions and interactions in the real world.
Subscriptions
Some features require an optional auto-renewing subscription, offered in monthly and annual plans and purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Prices are shown in the app before you purchase. Where offered, a free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
- Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies.
For users on Apple platforms, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app.
Your content and data
Your progress and reflections are stored on your device and belong to you. You are responsible for keeping backups if you want them — you can export your data from the app's Settings. See our Privacy Policy for details on how data is handled.
Intellectual property
The app, including its design, text, challenge content, and artwork, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse engineer the app except as permitted by law.
Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee any particular outcome from using the app.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including anything that happens during real-world challenges you choose to attempt. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes to the app or these Terms
We may update the app or these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
