Privacy Policy

GrowBold is built to be private by default. This policy explains what information the GrowBold mobile app ("the app") handles, where it lives, and the choices you have.

The short version

• Your challenges, progress, and reflections stay on your device.
• There are no accounts, and we do not run our own servers for your data.
• We do not collect analytics or use advertising or tracking.
• Subscriptions are handled by Apple, Google, and our billing provider RevenueCat, which processes limited purchase information.

Data stored on your device

The app stores your progress, chosen challenges, and reflections in a local database on your device. Reflection text is encrypted with AES-GCM, and the encryption key is kept in your device's secure storage (iOS Keychain or Android Keystore). This data never leaves your device unless you choose to export it.

From the app's Settings you can export a readable copy of your data at any time, or permanently erase all local data. Deleting the app from your device also deletes this data.

Data we do not collect

The app has no sign-in and no user accounts. We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, or usage analytics, and we do not sell or share personal information.

Subscriptions and purchases

GrowBold offers an optional auto-renewing subscription purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment is processed entirely by Apple or Google; we never see your payment details.

To manage subscription entitlements, the app uses RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated anonymous identifier and information about your purchase (such as product identifier, purchase date, and subscription status). This is used solely to verify and restore your subscription and is not linked to your identity by us. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy for details.

Children

GrowBold is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Because your data lives on your device and under your control, you can view, export, or delete it directly in the app at any time. If you have questions about privacy or want to exercise rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, contact us and we will help.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
